How many years have you been in business?

The company has been in business since 1986. Since its founding, we’ve grown from a single office in Cancun to a network of IVI offices in five countries.

Do you have a business license and insurance?

Yes of course, we have both. Additionally, we only contract suppliers who meet IVI’s very demanding standards, and who can meet qualifications imposed by insurance companies.

Is IVI independently owned? Franchised?

We are not a franchise operation, and do not plan to become one. Each IVI DMC2 office is co-owned and independently managed by a strong executive leadership team. This gives our local teams the independence and flexibility to do what’s best for clients, without the restrictions typically imposed by franchises.

What DMC organization(s) do you belong to?

IVI DMC2 has memberships in the Association of Destination Management Professionals (ADMEI), Meeting Professionals International (MPI), the Society of Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE), the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), Financial and Insurance Conference Planners (FICP), at Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI), and the Mexican Association of Travel Agencies (AMAV).

How large is your staff?

The company employs more than 150 people in its network of DMC offices.

Do you have any DMCPs?

Yazmin ELOSEGUI, Destination Managing Director in Los Cabos, Jaime NELO, Destination Managing Director in Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit and Central Mexico, Francisco BAEZA, Corporate Vice President, and Raquel MIJARES Corporate Marketing Director have all earned the DMCP certification.

How do you charge for your services?

Our prices are clearly stated in proposals customized to each client’s needs. Each proposal includes the cost per person or per group services, fees for tours and activities, and so on. Candor is important to both IVI and our clients, so our proposals never include any unexpected mark-ups or hidden costs.

What's included (and what's not)?

Inclusions and exceptions are clearly described in each proposal, therefore, what is included becomes apparent upon receiving your customized proposal.

Can you give several references, including your most recent client or a similar group?

Of course. We have thousands of client testimonials, and most of the clients we’ve served during the past 30 years are happy to serve as references for us.
